Our small, relaxed classes make learning easy, fun, and confidence-building. The best part? More people to play with!
We're Alyssa and Tina—two friends, two boy moms, and Oceanport locals.
Alyssa is a former teacher, and Tina is a local photographer. We learned American Mahjong on a whim, and what started as “let’s give this a try” quickly turned into an obsession. Before we knew it, we were playing all the time and introducing everyone we knew to the game.
Now we love teaching beginners. We know learning Mahjong can seem intimidating, but we promise it doesn't have to be. Our goal is to make it fun, relaxed, and easy to understand—so you leave feeling excited to pull up a rack and play.

DROP-IN · TWO HOURS
Supervised play, no instruction. For graduates of First Rack who need table time. We're in the room to settle questions, not to teach.
PRIVATE · YOUR TABLE OR OURS
One group, one table, learning together at their own pace. For people who already have their four.
HOSTED EVENT · TWELVE TO TWENTY
Parties, showers, fundraisers, milestone birthdays. Tiles, racks and instruction brought in. Nobody has to know how to play beforehand.
ANNUALLY, EACH SPRING
The session when the card changes. Walk the new hands, retire the old habits. Returning players only.
