It's a mahjong club. We teach beginners so there are more people to play with.
We teach American mahjong to people who have never touched a tile, and to people who learned from a grandmother twenty years ago and want the rules back. Small tables. No rush.
Who we are
Tina Fields and Alyssa Stutz. Two friends, both boy moms, both in Oceanport.
Tina is a local photographer. Alyssa taught here in town.
Between us we have spent years explaining things to people who are certain they will not get it. That turns out to be most of what teaching mahjong is.

Supervised play, no instruction. For graduates of First Rack who need table time. One of us is in the room to settle questions, not to teach.
TABLE FOR FOUR
PRIVATE · YOUR TABLE OR OURS
One group, one table, learning together at their own pace. For people who already have their four.
HOUSE TABLE
HOSTED EVENT · TWELVE TO TWENTY
Parties, showers, fundraisers, milestone birthdays. Tiles, racks and instruction brought in. Nobody has to know how to play beforehand.
NEW CARD
ANNUALLY, EACH SPRING
The session when the card changes. Walk the new hands, retire the old habits. Returning players only.
